The music program at SOA includes three performing groups: adult choir, Celebration Choir for elementary school-age children, and our praise band, "inDeed."
The adult choir rehearses each Sunday following the 10:30 worship service and social hour and presents an anthem nearly every Sunday from September through May. This group is open to all high school students and adults. There is no audition and it is not necessary to be able to read music.
The Celebration Choir also meets on Sundays following the 10:30 service and is open to singers and instrumentalists in grades 1 through 5. The children share special music with the congregation about once a month.
The praise band, "inDeed", leads the congregation in a blended service the second Sunday of each month. This group combines voices, guitar, percussion and keyboard in songs of praise and worship. Interested persons must audition.
Other instrumentalists are encouraged to speak with the music director if they wish to share their talents in a worship service.
